ILLINOIS
The goal of our project is to develop a 4-6 week immersive unit which explores the genius of enslaved African people and connects that genius with the innovation of Black Americans in the modern era. The project will support the content areas of reading, writing, and social studies.
CURRICULAR RESOURCES

Students explore how they can use their voices to address ways in which people are marginalized through silence, and develop a deep understanding of where genius has been found in history.
