Tracked and Traced is a 10-episode podcast about the ever-growing impact of surveillance technology on our lives. Each episode explores a different aspect of surveillance through interviews with leading experts and firsthand stories, including original reporting from the WDET newsroom.
From facial recognition technology to COVID-19 protocols, topics covered will include surveillance’s wide-ranging effects on civil rights, public safety, public health, economics, mental health, and the natural world, to name a few.
Tracked and Traced is produced by WDET, Detroit’s NPR station, and Science Gallery Detroit. It is being developed as a companion to Science Gallery’s programming of the same name.
