Please join us at 7:00pm EST on Tuesday, February 7 for a special online event with journalist and Pulitzer Center grantee Ashonti Ford, hosted in partnership with Greenburgh Public Library! Ford will talk about her reporting project, The Untold Stories of Black Cowboys, published in Spectrum News. The Untold Stories of Black Cowboys features third-generation Florida farmer Al Everett who was inducted into the Cowboy Hall of Fame. The Western Heritage Museum awarded Everett and other Black farmers for their dedication to their craft and years in the farming industry.

This event is designed for people ages 12 and up.

Ashonti Ford is a well-traveled journalist who has reported for newsrooms around the nation. Ford has been awarded several Pulitzer Center grants to uncover international and domestic issues that affect farming communities, migrant workers, women, and children—as well as to dig into untold aspects of Black history.
