Our project will encompass learning history through the power of narratives that shift from the deficit view to a more celebratory & centering of the many powerful contributions of Black people in America. As a team, we will revise & reimagine 3 units across grades 6-8 that decenter whiteness and the dominant stories associated with the study of Ancient Civilizations and American History.
