Intermediate District 287 Ethnic Studies Department

The District 287 team supported students in middle and high school grades to explore African American History as it relates to their personal and family experience, community, future goals and aspirations. The unit allows students to develop skills in critical thinking, reasoning, inquiry, and literacy; and to develop the dispositions needed to become inquisitive, informed, empathetic, and engaged members of our global community.
