In this cross curricular project (English and US History) 11th grade students will read Isabel Wilkerson’s “The Warmth of Other Suns” while conducting similar personal genealogical research in order to produce a presentation which reflects on both the impact of decisions made by their family/ancestors on their lives and on the various impacts their own decisions in the present could have on their future.
