Education for Liberation
OREGON
Our team will be using The 1619 Project: A New Origin Story to co-design units for implementation at both the high school and community college levels. Each unit will focus on a specific 1619 chapter and theme, to help students better understand legacies of slavery in America generally and on the education system specifically. Our goal is for both students and future educators to understand this historical context well enough that they can be empowered to teach it to others.

CURRICULAR RESOURCES
