The BMPV Chargers - ¡Ponte las pilas! team will develop a unit around the social justice standards related to identity by leveraging Born on the Water as the anchor text for grades ECE-5. Along with at least one other 1619 resource, students will develop language, historical and cultural knowledge of their own multiple identity groups, the varying multiple identities of others and recognize traits of the dominant culture and how they negotiate their own identity in multiple spaces.
