How the “Billionaire Loophole” Is Allowing Even More Money in Politics

Leading up to the 2026 U.S. midterms, Evident has partnered with States Newsroom to connect crucial election information with local and national audiences through social video. For the past decade, a “billionaire loophole” has allowed political parties in Wisconsin to spend unlimited amounts to support campaigns. Now, thanks to a Supreme Court ruling, that loophole is going national. Reporter Baylor Spears of Wisconsin Examiner explains the impact that has for allowing even more money in politics.
