Rafael Lima
PULITZER CENTER ALUM
Rafael Lima was the 2022 Campus Consortium Reporting Fellows intern at the Pulitzer Center. He was a Pulitzer Center Reporting Fellow himself in 2019, reporting on the struggle of Indigenous communities for land demarcation in his home country Brazil.
Rafael graduated from Wake Forest University in 2021 with a BA in Communication and minors in Journalism and Political Science. During his time at Wake Forest, he led the news and sports section of the Old Gold & Black, Wake Forest's student-run newspaper. He also won the Bynum Shaw Prize in Journalism, given to the student who has made the most significant contributions to campus publications. As a journalist, Rafael has had stories published in three different continents with The Pulitzer Center, The Brazilian Report, and New Europe in Belgium.
