Government teacher at the NYC Lab School for Collaborative Studies. Patrick, a son of the rust belt (Cleveland), is a first generation college graduate of The Ohio State University and Columbia University in the City of New York. At the NYC Lab School for Collaborative Studies, Patrick has served as School Chapter Leader of the United Federation of Teachers, Data Specialist, and member of the School Leadership and Instructional Leadership Teams. In addition, Patrick has served as a member of various national teacher advisory councils including the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, National Humanities Council, and the National Constitution Center. Patrick was the 2013 James Madison Fellowship Award Recipient in the State of New York, a 2021 National C-SPAN Teacher Fellow, and has received over $15,000 in grants from the National Endowment for the Humanities. A fierce advocate on matters of public education, Patrick has been cited by the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, and over a dozen publications. Patrick currently lives in Jersey City, New Jersey with his wife Melissa, son Franklin, and dog Lyndon Baines.
