Octavio Jones is an accomplished photojournalist with a passion for storytelling and a commitment to amplifying the voices of marginalized communities. Jones is a native of Washington, D.C., and spent significant time in North Carolina.
Jones holds degrees from Randolph Community College, Saint Augustine’s University, and Ohio University. With a career spanning over 15 years, Jones has contributed visual narratives to top media outlets, including NPR, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Rolling Stone, BuzzFeed, HuffPost, CNN, People, ELLE Decor, and The Washington Post.
Prior to becoming an independent photojournalist, Jones worked at the Tampa Bay Times.
