Naiara Jinknss de Castro, a graduate in visual arts and image technology from the University of the Amazon, is a documentary filmmaker and social educator, an LGBTQIA+ activist, and is currently part of the Mamana Collective.
Jinknss de Castro has been a photographer for 12 years and is a visual arts researcher focusing on Amazonian Blackness and decolonial narratives — she believes that photography is a pivotal tool in breaking stereotypes and reclaiming identity.
She is active in photography and visual arts festivals such as Arte Pará, Solar Festival, Foto em Pauta, and Paranapiacaba, among others. In audiovisual, she collaborates with outlets such as Midia Ninja, Amazonia Real, and Getty Images.
