Leonardo Milano works as a photojournalist and independent documentary filmmaker in the Brazilian Amazon. He's a freelancer for Amazônia Real, Amazon Watch, and other outlets.
Before becoming a full-time journalist, Milano graduated with a degree in biology, and he was an environmental analyst and a member of the press office of the Chico Mendes Institute for Biodiversity Conservation 2011-2014.
