Jordan Maria Don

GUEST CONTRIBUTOR

Jordan Maria Don (she/her) is a California raised actor, director, and collaborator who splits her time between Los Angeles, the Bay Area and New York City. She has worked with San Francisco Playhouse, foolsFURY, Ragged Wing Ensemble, Crowded Fire Theater, American Conservatory Theater, TheaterFIRST, and is a familia member with Campo Santo and Latinx Mafia. With a particular interest in new works, she is drawn to collaborative and ensemble centered processes grounded in ritual, ceremony, and community. This generation is empowered and entrusted with the task of diversifying the American theater canon to better represent the full complexity of the human experience. As actors, we are creative vessels for this necessary work and the task is sacred. When not on stage or on set, she works in the business of communication and empathy, carrying her dramatic training into the professional and educational world. She is deeply dedicated to self-actualization and living her full truth so she dedicates time to dance, travel, health, and fitness. She holds a B.A. in Sociology and Theater from UC Berkeley and has trained with American Conservatory Theater, the SITI Company, and LA Acting Studio. Jordan is a proud Xicana from East Los Angeles where her heart remains with her Don and Martinez familia. All her work is dedicated to her late brother, Christopher Paul Don, whose spirit guides her and inspires her every step of the way.
