Flávio Ferreira is an investigative journalist at Folha de S. Paulo in São Paulo, Brazil, specialized in the coverage of the Brazilian judicial branch and investigative journalism.
He covered the biggest corruption scandals of recent years in Latin America, such as “Operação Lava Jato (Car Wash Operation)," “Mensalão,” “Operação Satiagraha,” “Operação Castelo de Areia,” and the train cartel companies in São Paulo.
Ferreira is the coordinator of the collaborative journalism project Investiga Lava Jato, which collectively covers the corruption scandal known as Operação Lava Jato (Car Wash Operation), with a group of 21 journalists from 12 countries (June 2017 to present).
He is also a two-time winner of Latin America’s best-known investigative journalism prize and has won four additional prizes for various coverage.
