Emma Twombly
GRANTEE
Emma Twombly is a 2026 graduate of the University of Florida, where she studied film and television production. As a producer for WUFT Media Services and a journalist for WUFT News, she has filmed and edited a wide range of multimedia projects for the NPR and PBS affiliate station.
Her documentary short, A Human Museum, received an Award of Excellence at the Broadcast Education Association's 2026 Festival of Media Arts, and her video story, State of Strikes, was part of a team award for multimedia reporting from the Florida Society of News Editors.
She previously interned with the Monterey Bay Aquarium’s film department, producing bilingual wildlife videos, a mini-doc on scientific divers and kelp forest recovery, and shadowing on a documentary feature film following whales in Monterey Bay.
