Eko Rusdianto

Eko Rusdianto works as a freelance journalist at Project Multatuli, Mongabay Indonesia, and Historia.
He started his journalism career in 2009 at Pantau Jakarta news syndication. His writing has also appeared in VICE, Al Jazeera, and the South China Morning Post.
In 2019, Rusdianto published a collection of reports on the ecological crisis in Sulawesi, Indonesia. He published the book Tragedy of the Backyard in 2020, and the book Meneropong Manusia Sulawesi in 2022.
He was awarded the Oktovianus Pogau Award from Yayasan Pantau Jakarta in 2022.
