Claire Thomas is an award-winning Welsh photojournalist and fine-art photographer, currently based between the U.K. and Egypt. 

Thomas brings a unique perspective to her visual storytelling, documenting the human cost of armed conflict, displacement, and environmental and humanitarian crises. Her work is deeply rooted in human rights issues, capturing the often-overlooked stories of those affected by political instability, war, and marginalization.

From refugee camps across Europe to the front lines in the fight against ISIS in Iraq, Thomas has spent years reporting from some of the world’s most volatile and urgent areas. Her intimate and thought-provoking images have been exhibited in galleries worldwide and published in leading international outlets, including The New York Times, The Sunday Times, The Guardian, BBC, and National Geographic
