Skylar Hartgerink
2026 W&M REPORTING FELLOW
Skylar Hartgerink is a junior at William & Mary, double-majoring in history and environmental policy with a minor in global business.
On campus, she is the associate variety editor for The Flat Hat, the school’s student-run newspaper. She is also a tutor at the Writing and Communication Center and the president of Phi Mu Fraternity.
She is passionate about translating her diverse academic interests into compelling human stories. Hartgerink looks forward to working with Virginia Media as a reporting intern in summer 2026.
