Nicole Borman

GRANTEE

Nicole Borman is a 2026 graduate of the University of Florida's College of Journalism and Communications, where she won the Excellence in Digital Media award her senior year. She has placed in the top 10 in Hearst Journalism multimedia competitions four times during her time at the University of Florida. 

Beyond multimedia, she’s won multiple awards for her work as a bilingual broadcast journalism reporter and anchor. In the summer of 2025, she was an intern at KARE-11 News in Minneapolis, where she worked with a Peabody-winning investigative team and Edward R. Murrow Award winning reporters and producers. Above all, she got to work with Boyd Huppert, a features reporter whose stories made Borman fall in love with storytelling when she was growing up. 

She is headed to Knoxville, Tenn., for a multimedia position with WBIR-TV.
