Sarah Lowery

Sarah Lowery joined the Carolina Public Press, a nonprofit news organization, as audience director in March 2025. She oversees audience outreach, newsletters, social media, and content partnerships with other news media organizations.
Lowery has been in the field of marketing and public relations for more than a decade, having most recently served as director of communications for the Grandfather Mountain Stewardship Foundation. Prior to that role, she spent over eight years with Explore Asheville.
Lowery graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in journalism and worked as a reporter early in her career.
