Celeste Hamilton Dennis

Celeste Hamilton Dennis is an independent solutions journalist based in Portland, Oregon. She covers mental health, aging, and queer and gender issues.
Her print and audio work has appeared in NPR’s Code Switch, the San Francisco Chronicle, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, KQED, MindSite News, and more.
After a decade-long career in nonprofit communication, she received her master’s degree in journalism from the University of California, Berkeley.
Her reporting has been recognized by the Association of Health Care Journalists, the Society of Professional Journalists, NLGJA: The Association of LGBTQ+ Journalists, and the National Center on Disability and Journalism. She is a two-time Pulitzer Center Fellow.
