Florence Middleton

Florence Fong Hope Middleton is an Oakland, California-based visual journalist and educator whose work centers on maternal health.
Her reporting and photography have been published by the Pulitzer Center, San Francisco Chronicle, Los Angeles Times, KQED, and more.
Middleton is a two-time Pulitzer Center Fellow, Catchlight Mental Health Desk visual reporter, Dorothea Lange fellow, and a College Photographer of the Year finalist.
She earned her master’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism.
