Rhetoric Teachers in DC Public Schools

Our project will use texts in the 1619 Project to enhance our AP English Language curriculum. Students will (1) select an article to analyze and discuss, (2) construct an argumentative presentation to challenge, qualify, or expand upon a theme present in the reading, and (3) conduct additional research into a topic they learned about and create a visual or multimedia piece to inform the school community about its significance.
